Nero Startsmart is a Nero's one-click project launcher. I like to call this application the main gate to everything Nero. The Nero Burning suite comes with many applications that range from CD/DVD burners, CD/DVD copying, drive speed analysis, image burning, and so one. Thanks to Nero Startsmart 8.1, most of the applications included in the aforementioned bundle can be accessed from a single location. This application resembles a home page, if you will. The user just clicks the interactive buttons present in the application, and other applications are immediately launched. For example, if you want to burn an audio CD but are unsure of the settings you need to use, just launch Nero Startsmart and select Audio CD, insert a blank CD, pick which songs you want in it, and voila. It is probably not an indispensable application, but it sure makes burning and working with CDs a lot easier. Nero Startmart 8.1 comes with Nero Ultimate Edition, which also brings all the other applications with which Nero Startmart works. This definitely will make your life easier if you are a heavy-duty Nero user.
